Enhancing extracellular vesicles for therapeutic treatment of arthritic joints

چکیده
Extracellular vesicles are small membrane-derived packages of information that released from virtually all cell types. These nano-packages contain regulatory material including proteins, lipids, mRNA and microRNA a key mechanism paracellular communication within given microenvironment. Encompassed with lipid bilayer, these organelles have been attributed numerous roles in regulating both physiological pathological functions. Herein, we describe the role EVs context Rheumatoid Osteoarthritis explore how they could be harnessed to treat inflammatory degenerative joint conditions. structures offer promising therapeutic strategy for treating musculoskeletal diseases due their bioactive content, stability, size intrinsic ability enter avascular cartilage, notoriously challenging tissue target. We also discuss can manipulated load cargo or present additional targeting moieties enhance beneficial actions regenerative properties.

EXTRACELLULAR VESICLES AND THEIR THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS: A REVIEW
Background & Aims: Extracellular vesicles are double phospholipid layer vesicles releasing from several cells. These particles contain bio-molecules including mRNA, miRNA, DNA, proteins, and lipids which play a pivotal role in the cell to cell communication. Once delivered, they participate to change target cell function, fate, morphology, differentiation, and growth. The present study is a re...
متن کاملTherapeutic Potential of Extracellular Vesicles
Extracellular vesicles (EV) have emerged as important mediators of intercellular communication. By their origin, we can find vesicles derived from plasma membrane such as microvesicles, ectosomes, and membrane particles or exosomes, which originate in the endosomal membrane compartment. They contain numerous proteins, lipids, and even nucleic acids like mRNA and miRNA that can affect the cells ...
متن کاملImmunocytology in arthritic joints.
The capacity of exudative neutrophils to phagocytose and digest fibrin, an important constituent of inflammatory exudates, was investigated in various types of arthritis. In addition, the catheptic enzyme content of inflammatory cells was established directly with the aid of fluorescent anticathepsin. The intracellular organization of cathepsin varied considerably among the patients. The distri...
متن کاملApplication of extracellular vesicles in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease
Introduction: Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) is caused by genetic, environmental, microbial and immune factors. IBD has two primary forms: Ulcerative colitis and Crohn´s disease. The incidence of IBD has significantly increased over the last few decades. Given that patients have poor response to drug treatments or are resistant to drug therapies, new therapies are needed for gastrointestinal i...
متن کاملFocus on Extracellular Vesicles: Therapeutic Potential of Stem Cell-Derived Extracellular Vesicles
The intense research focus on stem and progenitor cells could be attributed to their differentiation potential to generate new cells to replace diseased or lost cells in many highly intractable degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer disease, multiple sclerosis, and heart diseases. However, experimental and clinical studies have increasingly attributed the therapeutic efficacy of these cells t...
